Edward P. Heinz

     Edward P. Heinz, 65, of Peoria, passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
     A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017at Calvary Cemetery in Brimfield, with Jeff Leeman officiating.
     Edward was born on March 10, 1952 in Peoria, a son of Norvin and Mary Blanche (Edwards) Heinz. His mother preceded him in death. He married Jean Lovier on September 30, 1977 in Peoria. She survives.
     He is also survived by his father of Edwards; children, Edward J. Heinz of Peoria Heights, Willie D. (Ashley) Heinz of Peoria, Jennifer Heinz of Peoria, Alexander C. Heinz of Griffin, GA and Barnabas P. Heinz of Ft. Worth, TX; siblings, George N. Heinz of Peoria, John (Susan) Heinz of Oregon, Frank Heinz of Edwards and Ann (Ted) Gleason of Savannah, GA; and grandchildren, Christina Heinz, Alexandra Rose Pittman-Heinz and Emma D. Heinz.
     Edward worked at Caterpillar for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of UAW Local 974.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria.
